Ohio TechCred
Ohioโs TechCred program provides employers across the state financial assistance to help offset the cost of training current and future employees.
Through TechCred, employers can identify the technology-driven skills their workforce needs and either select credentials from a list of approved, industry-aligned options or submit a request for consideration of a new credential.
The application period is open from now until 3 p.m. Oct. 30.
Once awards are issued, companies support their employees by covering the cost of completing an eligible credential. Employers may be reimbursed up to $1,000 per employee, per credential, with a maximum award of $30,000 per application period โ helping employers strengthen their talent pipelines and build a more competitive, tech-ready workforce.
Credential training must result in a certification, be completed in under 12 months, and total less than 900 clock hours or 30 credit hours.
Eligible training providers are those that have been registered or accredited by one of the following organizations:
- ApprenticeOhio
- Ohio Community Colleges
- Ohio Not-for-Profit Independent Colleges and Universities
- Ohio Public Universities or Regional Campuses
- Ohio State Board of Career Colleges and Schools
- Ohio Technical Centers
More information on training provider eligibility can be found on the TechCred website.
