I. Casie Grau from Mid-Ohio ESC welcomed BAC members and shared:
a. The purpose and goals of the BAC.
b. The BAC received a 3-Star Award in early 2026.
c. Pre-Meeting survey results around the following questions:
i. Participants and participation rates
ii. What career-connected opportunities are we engaging in
iii. What skills are entry-level hires missing
iv. What skills are entry-level hires excelling in
v. What industry trends/technologies should be integrated into the classroom
vi. What is the biggest challenge facing your organization today
d. The Business Advisory Council Plan has been submitted.
i. A copy of the plan will be provided to BAC Members.
ii. The prior years’ programming will continue for 2026-2027.
e. We are working to align our TurboCert credentials with ODEW’s updated IWIP list.
II. Bethany Rachel and Kevin Fourman from Mid-Ohio ESC shared programming updates:
a. Current TurboCert program offerings across Crawford, Morrow, and Richland counties
b. Timelines to register for the SLP and School Psychology Mentorship Program
III. Crystal Dean from Crawford Partnership and Randi Spoon from Morrow County Develop office
shared programming and initiative updates for their respective counties.
IV. Clint Knight from Richland Area Chamber & Economic Development provided details on:
a. How state priorities reach Richland County
b. What industry sectors his team is focused on
c. Aero Site Industrial Park and Aviation Career Day
V. Ron Bise from Charter Next Generation (CNG) provided an overview of the organization. Mark
Cacchio and Kaci Griggs from CNG offered insights into talent attraction, development and
retention.
VI. Ron Bise and Mark Cacchio led BAC members on a tour of the plant.
