Facility Relocation/Expansion Support: PTI is experienced with helping companies move or replicate job training from one location to another. We have worked with economic development agencies to go throughout the world to perform detailed analyses of job classifications there to setup training here. Clients can have their worker training system ready-to-go while they set-up operations. This approach is a must for ensuring suppliers train and certify their employees to perform to the customer’s specification, for expediting the transfer of work to vendors or drawing it back, and for reshoring work to home turf.

Process Documentation – PTI has 50 years of experience in developing process-based documentation for clients – performing, first, a detailed job/task analysis to include all aspects of task performance in a process “job performance aid;” including available latest revision documentation from engineering, quality and EHS, with performance observation for the rest for “readability” and “repeatability.” Formatted to client’s design or designed to client’s expectations, process documentation includes illustration, upon request.

Apprenticeship and Internship Program Design and Support – The “hands on” part of an apprenticeship is designed around the employer’s actual job classification, not some outdated list of once valid tasks or tasks apprentices will not ever perform before they forget what they have learned. Relevant parts of the job/task analysis data is shared with related technical instruction providers and workforce development resources to select learning modules directly validated to the target job classification which, along with the structured OJT, accelerates the apprentice’s journey to “full job mastery” and substantially shortens the time to complete an apprenticeship. Internships can be a subset of an apprenticeship, so tasks mastered are transferable to the apprenticeship if eventually hired.
