Worker-Development Solutions Designed for the Employer’s Jobs, Employer’s Business Strategy and Employer’s Work Culture

Purpose

The North-Central Ohio Employer-Based Worker Training Partnership was established to build strong partnerships between regional employers, workers and dedicated workforce development and support institutions. By targeting the employer’s targeted job classifications with a robust job/task analysis first, we will help employers build the needed infrastructure and technical implementation support to accelerate the “transfer of expertise” first to drive both incumbent and new-hire workers to full capacity through job mastery. Secondly, part of the technical data about the target job classifications will be shared with educational institutions to help them select and continually update job-relevant curricula, ensuring a pipeline of entry-level candidates with the appropriate foundational core and industry general skills. Credentials will continue to document each worker’s increasing value to the employer and themselves.

The targeted region includes, but is not limited to, employers in 17 counties in central Ohio: Ashland, Crawford, Delaware, Hancock, Hardin, Holmes, Huron, Knox, Licking, Logan, Marion, Morrow, Richland, Sandusky, Seneca, Union and Wyandot counties. Although projects in these counties will affect employers and their employees directly, the economic impact will be felt throughout surrounding communities and counties from which many of the employees commute and conduct commerce.
